Truncating round CTCSS tones

Post by YT5HOK »

As subject says, CPS is truncating round number CTCSS tones, 77.0 to 77, 100.0 to 100, 123.0 to 123, etc... Tried with changing regional settings, but to no avail.

It is not a problem, if you write such codeplug to the radio.

It becomes a problem, if you open some channel without the tone and then you click next or previous channel which has it. Then the tone gets "overwritten" by "OFF", so you loose it and if you don't notice, then it becomes a problem in the field.

Also, if you open channel with round CTCSS tone, the field with it will just be empty and nothing bad happens if you close the channel window, or move to the next or previous channel.

If anything needs to be beta tested before release, I'm available, via PM or e-mail.

Cheers!

It should be fixed in the next update, they are now saved as strings rather than a float. Since by default that will drop the .0 as 77 and 77.0 is seen as the same value.
Current JSON files should be backward compatible and will be converted once opened.
