vfo a and b channels

Whenever I turn on the GD-88 it comes up with zone 1 and channel 1 in both vfo areas. Is there a way to tell the radio what zone and channels you want to start with?

Unfortunately there's no way to tell it what default channels you want, it should actually remember the channels that were used when it was turned off then coming back on to the same channels.
However I notice that it does not always seem to work. Especially if the first zone is selected, if I change VFO A and B to another zone, it remembers most of the time with will occasionally switch back to the first channel or the first zone.
