v 0.2.1202.1 GD-88 write error

Post by n0sr »

I'm receiving an error when writing to my GD-88 with v0.2.1202.1, I am attaching a screenshot.

I can successfully read the codeplug and immediately attempt to write the codeplug to the radio without making any changes and receive this error dialog box.

This is a brand new radio, the codeplug is valid and everything works. I tried to modify the codeplug with CPeditor only to receive the error, so I attempted the read/write operation with the same error. The 103.5 info in the error tells me it is related to a CTCSS setting (as I have several channels that use this tone) but all the channels in the editor look correct.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

You are correct, it is related to CTCSS however looking at 'line 886' in the compileCodeplug function, it was the setting within the APRS menu not a channel.

I have pushed an update that fixes the error, so with 0.2.1205.1 it should now work without any changes to the codeplug.

That fix worked great, thank you for looking into & fixing the application so fast!
It’s interesting that it errored on 103.5 CTCSS for APRS when I actually had 100.0 set.

In any case, your software is so much better for programming. You have done a great job!
Donation is coming by the end of the week!
I’ve done commercial software alpha/beta testing and will let you know if I find any other “undocumented features.”
