Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
The latest November 23rd version for RT-73 doesn't update correctly, I have the November 3rd version and an update attempt claims to succeed but still shows the old version on restart. Downloading the updated installer and deleting then reinstalling doesn't help, same symptoms after install.

Can't see any issues updating on my end, I'd check for something blocking the updater from downloading the latest exe.

Hi,
Also, the Radioddity's msi on the project page doesn't embed version 0.2.1123.3, but 0.2.1123.2 (didn't check the Retevis one).
Cheers.

Re: Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
The installers are not updated since the automatic updates are done through the program itself.
You'd have to uninstall the old version to install the new one each time as the installer doesn't currently support updates.
On first launch the update will be available.
Although I'll look into allowing updates via the installer, although it seems unnecessary since it's fine automatically when you launch the program.

Re: Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
Okay,
but this behavior has to be specified, like "You won't download the specified version, but it will update to the latest one on startup, eventually", as it's really confusing at the moment, saying "Click Here To Download R* Version w.x.y.z".
EDIT: BTW, the embed update feature is running in circles, it doesn't do anything once I agree to update through the software itself. And yes, I've installed/uninstalled many times since yesterday, as the software fails to read the codeplug, running the latest released firmware.
Cheers.

Re: Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
I have updated the installer files on the main website with the latest version, it should allow you to install it without uninstalling the previous one (upgrade).
I'm not sure what the issue with the automatic updater is, as shown above the update runs successfully for me and the server logs suggest that it's working for others as there is currently 78 successful updates to 0.2.1123.3.

Re: Update problem with 0.2.1123.3
Okay, thanks for the update, I will try the latest version to check if it can read the codeplug with latest firmware version.
About the update problem (within the software), I don't know why, as no error is raised. If I agree for the update, wait a bit then call "Check for update" it tells me that I'm running the latest version (which is wrong), and restarting the software has no effect, as it continue to ask for upgrading.
Cheers.

When you click 'Yes' to the update prompt, does CPEditor close and the updater console window open? Like in the video/gif I posted earlier?
This is a separate program, CPEUpdater.exe, which can be temporarily seen in the same directory as CPEditor.exe
Since CPEditor.exe can't be replaced while it's in use the updater runs in a separate program and downloads the latest CPEditor.exe and replaces the old one.
If you're not seeing the console window, or CPEditor is not closing then no update will happen although I'm not sure why it would then tell you it is the latest version.
If you are using 0.2.1123.1 then there was an issue with the GD-88 which was fixed in 0.2.1123.3.
Although you'll need to attach the images again as they are not showing, so I cannot see what the issue you have is.
