I have not had any issues getting aprs working, however since it does not decode rx'd aprs packets it pretty useless to me. When I have time I am going to try to use a program like pinpoint aprs or direwolf to decode the packets by feeding the audio from the radio to my laptop.

Anyone, successfully, used and external GPS? I expect it would have to be powered like the one on my scanner. Any thoughts before I ordered one.
